Cloverdale Paint has an immediate opening at our Head Office for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Surrey BC.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is a part of a 5-person Accounts Payable team, each responsible for full cycle A/P. This is a high-volume position, and this experienced individual will be responsible for receiving, verifying and processing invoices for manufacturing, distribution and retail facilities

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and maintain supplier information and historical records in the accounting system.
- Complete full cycle A/P, including receiving, verifying, and processing invoices.
- Match purchase orders, both electronic and manual P.O.’s, and other backup to invoices.
- Code and data entry of between 150 – 200 supplier invoices per day.
- Process employee cash expense reports.
- Initiate and process payment runs (EFT & virtual Mastercard, cheques).
- Ensure vendor invoices with early payment discounts are paid on time.
- Run and maintain appropriate journals and documentation.
- Effectively interact with and respond to supplier and internal customer queries.
- Reconcile supplier statements as necessary.
- Process credit application for new vendors.
- File vendor payments & invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated accounts payable experience.
- Good understanding of basic accounting concepts, including debits/credits and related journal entries.
- Ability to work independently and within a team atmosphere.
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate and detailed oriented.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and complete a high volume of work within deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Honest, respectful, trustworthy, with a positive working attitude.
