Greenfield is looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance and Projects Manager, the Instrumentation & Electrical Technician installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components and safety interlocks of machinery and equipment by performing the following duties in coordination with the departments affected by the work in an efficient, safe and environmentally conscious manner.

Your Experience Should Include
- Completion of a related technical post-secondary diploma/degree (442A ticket)
Bonus Points if you Have Any of These:
- Instrumentation and Control (447A) ticket considered an asset.
- Experience in a continuous operation facility is an asset.
- Experience CMMS such as Maximo system would be an asset
Job Responsibilities:
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment such as motors, conveyors, instrumentation etc.,
- Connects power supply wires to machines, equipment. Connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures. Replaces damaged or broken components.
- Replaces faulty electrical machine components such as relays, switches, motors, sensors etc.
- Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
- Programs electronic devices to bring them on-line, or to diagnose malfunctions or to tune their operation.
- Maintain process control equipment such as control valves and positioners, differential pressure transmitters, magnetic flow meters, temperature transmitters, other flow measuring devices, analytical, and weighing devices, Controllers, PLCs, and DCS hardware
- Interpret one-line diagrams, PLC ladder logic, control loop drawings and P&ID’s
- Reports deviations, non-conformances, corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Within area of responsibility, develop, promote, and positively support goals and objectives in the areas of Safety, Environment, Product Quality and Consistency, Customer Service, ISO, FSMA, FSSC 22000 compliance, Internal Supplier Relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participates positively in and supports compliance of GMPs, FSMA, FSSC 22000, FEMAS, and any other food and feed safety standards.
