PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Temporary Full-Time - 18 Months
Start date: Immediate
Wage rate: $41.85 - $50.57 (commensurate with experience)
The primary goal of the Physiotherapist is to ensure our patients are receiving high quality, person-centered care that aligns with our values of Dignity, Service, Excellence and Integrity. Our Physiotherapists work within an interprofessional team setting to define our patients’ individual goals and create realistic plans to achieve them through slow-paced rehabilitation and strengthening. They develop and implement individualized care programs that address functional decline and support a discharge back to the community. The Physiotherapists work closely with the Rehabilitation Assistants and other members of the care team in providing care to a predominately geriatric population.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and leadership preferred
NOTE: The successful Physiotherapist may qualify for a Rehabilitation Professionals Incentive Grant of $5,000 per year for three years which is paid by the Underserviced Area Program of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

About St. Joseph's Health Centre of Sudbury
St. Joseph’s Health Centre (SJHC), formerly the Sudbury General Hospital (SGH) has been serving the health care needs of the Sudbury community for over 65 years.
St. Joseph’s Health Centre oversees the operation of the Village of Care Campus located on South Bay Road, which includes St. Joseph’s Villa, a 128-bed long-term care home and room with potential growth. In addition, St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, a 64-bed complex continuing care hospital, is co-located on this site. St. Joseph’s Health Centre also operates Villa St. Gabriel Villa, a 128-bed long-term care home located in Chelmsford, Ontario.
The administrative team supports all three facilities and manages clinical, operational, financial, and planning services. We are a Catholic organization guided by our core values of Dignity, Excellence, Service and Integrity with a focus on a culture of caring.
