Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is seeking a Janitor to support our Cobourg facilities.
Position and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Maintain cleanliness of the Cobourg facility including washrooms and common areas
- Extensive daily mopping and use of motorized cleaning equipment.
- Spills clean up including hazardous materials
- Waste collection and management
- Use of mobile elevated work platform and fall arrest equipment for the purpose of cleaning
- Use of floor machines
- Operate washers, dryers and any other laundry equipment
- Collect, sort, wash and fold laundry
- Stripping and waxing floors
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Ability to safely work at all times
-
Ability to use a powered air purifying respirator (PAPR), and/or half face respirator
-
Ability to work shift rotation. (days, afternoons or midnights)
Assets:
- Training and experience in operation of a variety of manual and motorized cleaning equipment
- Training and experience in industrial spill response
- Training and experience in use of mobile elevated work platforms
- Completed fit test to use powered air purifying respirator (PAPR), and/or half face respirator
- Computer skills including working knowledge of SAP
