Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is seeking a Janitor to support our Cobourg facilities.

Position and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Maintain cleanliness of the Cobourg facility including washrooms and common areas
• Extensive daily mopping and use of motorized cleaning equipment.
• Spills clean up including hazardous materials
• Waste collection and management
• Use of mobile elevated work platform and fall arrest equipment for the purpose of cleaning
• Use of floor machines
• Operate washers, dryers and any other laundry equipment
• Collect, sort, wash and fold laundry
• Stripping and waxing floors

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to safely work at all times

• Ability to use a powered air purifying respirator (PAPR), and/or half face respirator

• Ability to work shift rotation. (days, afternoons or midnights)

Assets:

• Training and experience in operation of a variety of manual and motorized cleaning equipment
• Training and experience in industrial spill response
• Training and experience in use of mobile elevated work platforms
• Completed fit test to use powered air purifying respirator (PAPR), and/or half face respirator
• Computer skills including working knowledge of SAP
