The Opportunity

As a member of Tim Hortons at the IWK, you will be responsible for creating a positive experience for every customer, co-worker and supplier while working in the store. You will be cross-trained as Counter Staff, supporting the store in providing great customer service and generating sales and as a Baker, preparing the popular Tims products throughout the day, supporting cost control by following proper baking/finishing procedures, following/maintaining the store's production sheets and maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment.
As a valued member of our Tim Hortons team, may be eligible to receive shift premiums and overtime as outlined in the Health Support bargaining unit collective agreement.
Hours of Work
Various shifts range from 3.0 to 11.25 hours; Monday to Sunday, weekends, holidays; Mainly 4am -12 am hours of operation. (Dayshifts and evening shifts are required). Must work every other weekend.
Your Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Recent experience/training in a food service setting required.
- Proven skills in customer service required.
- WHMIS required (or willingness to maintain within six months of hire).
- Food Handlers Course required (or willingness to maintain within one year of hire.)
- Must have demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal and communication (both verbal & written) skills.
- Positive team player and able to work in a dynamic, fast pace environment
- Able to follow standards and direction
- Competencies in other languages considered an asset.
