About the role
Job Summary:
The Co-op, Inventory Control will be responsible for supporting the Inventory Control team in managing aircraft parts inventory across Porter’s network. This includes assisting with key projects aimed at improving inventory accuracy, participating in inventory audits and cycle counts, and analyzing stock usage to support optimization of min/max levels. The co-op will also contribute to maintaining accurate records in the AMOS system, tracking shelf-life expiry of parts, and helping identify surplus or obsolete inventory. This role provides hands-on experience in aviation logistics within a dynamic and fast-paced airline environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support inventory control projects related to aircraft parts tracking, inventory accuracy, and system reconciliation.
- Assist with regular cycle counts and audits to help maintain accurate records in the AMOS inventory management system.
- Analyze inventory usage data to identify trends and support adjustments to min/max levels.
- Participate in reviews of shelf-life expiry reports and help coordinate removal of expiring parts from stock.
- Help identify and document surplus or obsolete inventory items for potential redistribution or resale.
- Work closely with the Purchasing, Logistics, and Repairs teams to ensure data consistency and support project-based process improvements.
- Contribute to monthly reporting on scrap, shelf expiry, and inventory adjustments.
- Assist with research and documentation of inventory procedures and system updates as needed.
- Support the team in ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards as part of Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Perform other administrative or analytical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Aviation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with AMOS or similar ERP systems is an asset.
- Interest in aircraft maintenance operations and logistics is strongly preferred.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities.
- Valid G or G2 driver’s license (preferred but not mandatory).
- Must be eligible to obtain a Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass (RAIC), if required.
