About Us Fueling Brains Education Services is proud to be a private Early Childhood Services (ECS) operator accredited by Alberta Education and a member of the Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta (AISCA).
Fueling Brains Education Services specializes in early childhood services, providing intervention programs for children accessing Program Unit Funding (PUF) and Mild/Moderate (MM) funding at Fueling Brains Academy centres across Calgary and in Strathmore. Our mission is to deliver impactful early intervention solutions and foster optimal brain development during the most critical years of a child's life.

Position Behavior Strategist (0.5 FTE) Type: Part-Time (Approximately 20–25 hours per week)
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Strategist to support our early intervention programs in licensed daycare settings. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of young children by applying evidence-based strategies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will conduct behavioral assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and support implementation in collaboration with families, therapy assistants, and educators. Your work will focus on enhancing emotional regulation, social skills, and healthy behavior patterns to support children's learning and well-being.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavior assessments to identify children’s strengths, challenges, and specific needs.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized behavior support plans and goals.
- Deliver targeted behavior support services in individual and small group settings, aligned with program goals.
- Implement evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, social development, and positive behavior.
- Modify activities, environments, and interactions to increase success and participation for each child.
- Monitor and document children’s progress, providing regular reports to families and team members.
- Support caregivers and educators in applying strategies consistently across settings.
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews to support coordinated care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research and best practices in behavior intervention.
Qualifications / Experience
- Master’s Degree or BSW in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field. Candidates with a relevant Bachelor's degree and significant experience in early intervention or pediatric settings may also be considered.
- Experience supporting children with developmental needs in early learning environments.
- Strong understanding of behavior analysis, child development, and family-centered practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with caregivers, educators, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Schedule Monday–Friday, September - June
(Some flexibility may be required depending on client needs)
Work Environment Requirements This role involves typical physical activities associated with working with young children, including bending, lifting items under 40 pounds, and engaging in floor-based play. It may involve exposure to childhood illnesses and bodily fluids. Applicants must be comfortable maintaining emotional regulation in fast-paced environments and working with children with diverse needs.

Fueling Brains incorporates a holistic approach to advanced brain development and envisions successful development from childhood to adolescence. Here at Fueling Brains our mission serves to challenge the classic educational systems and promote the most unique research- based childhood educational care. The early roots of Fueling Brains began in 2012 under the previous name of (Kids U). Fueling Brains started as a one-room facility in the Calgary region and has since successfully expanded to serve over 20,000 children with over 400 employees, and the additional expansion in both Saskatchewan and the US.
At Fueling Brains our unique educational services are aimed at reducing cognitive intelligence gaps and improving children's executive functions- the building blocks of brain development.
