Job Description Summary Are you a highly motivated operations-focused individual who enjoys building strong positive relationships across an organization? The Production Control Analyst is an important member of the Production Control Group and their role is becoming even more important with transition to SAP S4.

As a Production Control Analyst, you will play a key role in the proper management of hydrocarbons in the refinery. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about refining processes and their impact in a refining environment. You will be accountable for coordinating and managing activities related to data collection, reporting, transaction and inventory reconciliation for the Sarnia Refinery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, with Petrochemical, Finance experience
  • Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • A highly motivated self-starter, with a desire to learn new tools and processes (such as SAP, Honeywell PB and Totalplant)
  • Knowledge of SAP and Honeywell Totalplant tools (PHD, LIMS, Production Balance)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all refinery transactions (deliveries and receipts) are recorded in SAP
  • Reconcile the inventory in the SAP system with the physical inventory of the refinery
  • Support the daily refinery mass and volumetric balance, track production by product and by unit and work with Planning, Production and Accounting to identify and resolve yield discrepancies (Honeywell PMM, PB, PT and SAP PAR)
  • Participate in internal and external audit + SOX and manage all supporting documentation
  • Calculate and track key performance indicators (AA, OA,RI, Solomon, etc.) on a monthly basis
  • Support operations by managing, optimizing and documenting all rail and truck shipments

Location and other key details:

  • You will work out of the Sarnia Refinery, 1900 River Road, Sarnia Ontario Canada
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Possibility of hybrid work, combination of office and home work
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
