About the role

Operation:

  • Manage the dedicated commercial car fleet of company
  • Analyze and take action to standardize the best practices from our regions
  • Integrate maintenance management to support the performance our fleet
  • Build by region, an investment program to sustain and develop our fleet
  • Have a good understanding around trade compliance rules
  • Use transport management system tool to ensure we optimize our cost of transportation
  • Support and uses relevant business metrics, analyses, and reports to measure, monitor, and improve national routing performance
  • Support procurement team by dispatching deliveries
  • Create continuous improvement project to support Brenntag Excellence
  • Oversees transportation asset acquisition needs and practices by creating short- and long-term strategies
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Transportation in support of our commercial sales team

Finance:

  • Analyze our monthly cost vs budget
  • Establish a monthly forecast per site
  • Control weekly Overtime
  • Working with Indirect procurement, develop a cost reduction program by region
  • Create project CAT4 to generate saving

Health and Safety:

  • Promote management by walking around
  • Promote the creation of near misses per employee
  • Establish and realize the Pm truck inspection and emergency safety simulations.
  • Improve and promote cleanness and pride in our fleet
  • Proceed yearly risk assessment in each region
  • Review and improve (if necessary) our policies (SOP's) and rules
  • Engage of employees to collaborate in the quarterly safety calls

Quality:

  • Follow up on our complaint system to make sure our customers' get a corrective action response
  • Management of accident/incident investigation and claims pursuit
  • Manage & maintain relationships with rail service providers
  • Common carrier management: Managements of relationship & develop and maintain carrier scorecards

Human Resources:

  • Follow up your headcount and the status of your recruitment
  • Support your regions when they need temporary staff coverage
  • Create a good engagement with an efficient communication and meeting plan
  • Establish your recognition plan to support your team
  • Complete performance management reviews every year

  • Opération :

  • Gérer la flotte de véhicules commerciaux dédiés de l'entreprise

  • Analyser et prendre des mesures pour standardiser les meilleures pratiques de nos régions

  • Intégrer la gestion de la maintenance pour soutenir la performance de notre flotte

  • Établir, par région, un programme d'investissement pour maintenir et développer notre flotte

  • Avoir une bonne compréhension des règles de conformité commerciale

  • Soutenir et utiliser les indicateurs commerciaux pertinents, les analyses et les rapports pour mesurer, surveiller et améliorer la performance du routage national

  • Soutenir l'équipe des achats en dispatchant les livraisons

  • Créer des projets d'amélioration continue pour soutenir l'Excellence Brenntag

  • Superviser les besoins et pratiques d'acquisition d'actifs de transport en créant des stratégies à court et à long terme

  • Piloter l'exécution de plusieurs plans et projets d'affaires pour le transport en soutien à notre équipe commerciale

  • Finance :

  • Analyser nos coûts mensuels par rapport au budget

  • Établir une prévision mensuelle par site

  • Contrôler les heures supplémentaires hebdomadaires

  • Travailler avec les achats indirects pour développer un programme de réduction des coûts par région

  • Créer un projet CAT4 pour générer des économies

  • Santé et sécurité :

  • Promouvoir la gestion par l'observation sur le terrain

  • Promouvoir la création de "presque accidents" par employé

  • Établir et réaliser les inspections mensuelles des camions et les simulations d'urgence en matière de sécurité

  • Améliorer et promouvoir la propreté et l'orgueil dans notre flotte

  • Réaliser une évaluation des risques annuelle dans chaque région

  • Réexaminer et améliorer (si nécessaire) nos politiques (SOP) et nos règles

  • Encourager les employés à participer aux appels de sécurité trimestriels

  • Qualité :

  • Suivre notre système de plaintes pour garantir que nos clients reçoivent une réponse d'action corrective

  • Gérer et maintenir les relations avec les prestataires de services ferroviaires

  • Gestion des transporteurs communs : gestion des relations et développement et maintien des tableaux de bord des transporteurs

  • Ressources humaines :

  • Suivre l'effectif et le statut de vos recrutements

  • Soutenir vos régions lorsqu'elles ont besoin de couverture temporaire

  • Créer un bon engagement avec une communication efficace et un plan de réunions
