Source Online Bookkeeping is a professional online bookkeeping, tax, and payroll service provider to small and medium sized businesses across Canada. We utilize a suite of online accounting software applications to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual full-cycle bookkeeping, tax, and payroll services. All team members work out of our Victoria office, with a flexible hybrid schedule available following successful completion of training and probation.

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper who is technology forward, self-disciplined, and energetic. This role requires someone who brings both initiative and expertise to manage and maintain a full roster of bookkeeping clients with differing levels of complexity using various accounting software applications. You will be required to work independently and as part of the team to achieve clients’ and organizational goals and objectives.
Some of the duties include:
- Prepare and complete monthly and quarterly bookkeeping packages and Management Financial Statements using a suite of cloud accounting applications, including QuickBooks Online.
- Analyze financial statements and the general ledger to quickly identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Manage all payroll functions
- Manage and ensure internal and external deadlines are met
- Prepare governmental client returns, filings, and/or remittances for the following: GST/HST, PST, T4, T4a, T5018, WCB, WSIB
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Bookkeeping or Accounting, or equivalent experience working in a public practice.
- 4+ years experience in full cycle bookkeeping activities managing multiple clients
- 2+ years experience using Quickbooks Online. Experience with other accounting software and apps considered an asset.
- Experience and proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 applications
