We are seeking a talented and driven Commercial Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience to join our growing litigation group. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident litigator to work on commercial matters with a high level of autonomy, while being supported by experienced partners and colleagues in a dynamic and collegial environment. Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Commercial Litigation Lawyer, located in Burlington, ON.
The successful candidate will handle a variety of legal issues, provide legal advice, and represent clients in court. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a varied caseload of commercial disputes
- Provide strategic advice to clients across a range of industries
- Conduct legal research
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, factums, and correspondence
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
- Work closely with partners and clients to deliver commercially sound legal outcomes
- Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives
About You
- Minimum 3 years of litigation experience (candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply)
- Strong technical skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage files autonomously and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
