This is your chance to join a dynamic team in the Interior Region. You will have the chance to contribute to a variety of projects and tasks to support the success of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and more, within the Interior Region First Nations Health Authority.

Title: Human Resources Student

Salary: $19.87 - $26.75 - $29.43 per hour (pay range explained below)

Contract: 3-month term with possibility of extension

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday (core hours 9am - 3pm)

Location: West Kelowna or Kamloops, BC, located on the unceded ancestral territories of the Sylix or Secwépemc Nations - Hybrid working is option in line with FNHA's flexwork policy.

About The Role In this role, you’ll support regional recruitment and employee relations initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced HR environment. You’ll contribute to projects, attend team meetings, and collaborate with HR professionals to help drive meaningful outcomes.

In addition, you will enhance your understanding of First Nations' culture and traditions, and FNHA’s role in improving health outcomes for First Nations people in BC.

About You You may have experience or an interest in:

  • Recent completion or current enrollment in an undergraduate program specific to Human Resources and/or Business Administration, or other relevant under-graduate level program work
  • Must be 3rd or 4th year candidate enrolled in an undergraduate program, or recent completion
  • Relevant and recent experience in research and analysis, ideally in Human Resources, healthcare and/or First Nations organizations
  • Must work at an advanced level with PC and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, strong time management and communication skills
  • Advanced experience composing a range of documents and summarizing data in a report format with metrics

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.Incumbents are typically hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
