We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest services and a strong understanding of the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests by delivering high-quality service, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly while providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant policies and procedures as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent guest services skills with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members clearly.
- A willingness to help others and work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
