Job Description Service Manager - Fixed Term Contract - 9 Months 37.5 hour per week

Up to £32,000 dependant on experience.

Nexus Care are recruiting for a Service Manager to join our team on an 9 month Fixed Term Contract. We are looking for someone who has genuine passion for supporting colleagues and the people we support.

Nexus Care is a part of the National Care Group and is a specialist provider working alongside people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Autism.

We provide one-to-one support across 4 key areas in Essex.

The role will be spread across these areas & includes:

Chelmsford

Southend-On-Sea

Basildon

Castle Point

The Service Manager Position As a Service Manager, you will promote and ensure that the company vision of person-centred support is implemented whilst maintaining an individual’s potential and independence. You will be a front-line manager, whilst working on direct care and ensuring all necessary back-office duties are completed within compliance.

We are seeking a Service Manager who has the skills and experience to provide energy, motivations and leadership to team members in a supportive environment, enabling them to build and develop supportive relationships that contribute to a good quality of life and great outcomes for each person we support.

The Service Manage Role will include various responsibilities such as:

  • Supporting the manager in staff development and delivery of training.
  • You will lead the team in promoting each individual well-being, safety and quality of life.
  • Monitor and assist the effective delivery of group and induvial activities that address agreed goals and the progress of each individual against agreed outcome and well-being measures.
  • Work in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, legislation and national minimum standards.
  • Ensure that liaison with external parties within their areas of responsibility is coordinated effectively with the home manager to ensure that communication is effective and consistent within the home.

About You

  • You’ll have plenty of experience working with those with learning disabilities and/or mental health or complex behaviours across multiple different sites.
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel within your services is required.
  • You will hold your level 3 in Health & Social Care or are qualified through experience.
  • Experience in multisite management.
  • Experience of leading, supervising and motivating a team.
  • Above all, you will be kind, friendly and honest in ensuring that person-centred care is provided.
