Summary
We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our Vancouver Island team. This pivotal role will focus on developing and implementing health and safety programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, ultimately promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards.
- Provide training and resources to employees on health and safety practices.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report on performance metrics.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Investigate incidents or accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in the construction, mining, or oil and gas industries.
- Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations in British Columbia.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training and reporting.
- Ability to develop training programs and procedures tailored to various roles within the company.
- Certification in health and safety management (e.g., CRSP, CHSC) is an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
