The Opportunity

The Associate Vice-President, Financial Resources (AVP) will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the University’s financial and procurement functions. The AVP oversees a broad range of portfolios, including:

  • Financial Reporting
  • Research, Trust, and Endowment Accounting

  • Financial Applications and Systems

This is a key leadership role in the ongoing transformation of administrative services, enabling enterprise-wide financial strategies that drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a collaborative and service-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic and collegial environment. You bring:

  • A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in financial leadership, ideally within a large, complex institution
  • A graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, business administration)
  • A professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic budgeting, financial operations, capital financing, procurement, and risk-informed decision-making
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.

Why Join Us?

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of Canada’s leading universities—contributing to excellence in education, research, and public service.
