Description This position is ideal for a candidate with a background in software development practices and project management to join the Treatment Planning team as a Senior Release Manager, coordinating internal software releases across a large group. Partnering with international teams, you’ll provide a collaborative, clear process and the project management support needed to streamline software deliveries and improve efficiency. This role is key to Align Technology’s ability to deliver innovative software solutions.
Role expectations
- Develop release plans and cutover plans for cloud services, including the entire path to production with testing, deliverables, and integration, and drive the plan through regular meetings with stakeholders.
- Guide teams in implementing and maintaining an agile development process, coordinating sprints across several development teams.
- Monitor during development and after release, creating Jira and Splunk dashboards as needed.
- Hold planning and review meetings, go/no-go decision points, retrospective reviews, risk assessments, etc.
- Compile requirements documents and other release documentation from project requirements and other sources, ensuring compliance with quality management and regulatory guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience: 6-10 years of hands-on experience developing, testing, or leading software development, including cloud services.
- Skills: Project management, cloud software design and deployment, software release life cycle and best practices.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
- Teamwork: A proactive approach to problem-solving across a team. Experience in collaborative environments. Participating in a project from ideation to completion.
Complementary skills
- Good understanding of verification and validation test strategies.
- Proven leadership in driving a project to completion.
- Scrum master, SAFe, PMP, other development lifecycle certifications.
- Experience working in a regulated industry.
- Docs-as-code, Jira, Git, Confluence, Splunk.
- Experience with AWS.
Pay Transparency If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S.
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
