Order Desk Supervisor
Position Type: Permanent Full-time
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 09:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: Richmond, BC
Department: Order Desk
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Position Overview: Working independently with some guidance from the Sr. Vice President Administration and General Manager to oversee, lead and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the Order Desk department. ContainerWorld Forwarding Services Inc. is British Columbia's premier logistics provider for the beverage industry; a local, publicly held company with approximately 450 employees throughout its five provincial facilities. ContainerWorld is a subsidiary of Mullen Group publicly traded on TSX.
We are presently recruiting for a full-time Order Desk Supervisor available in our Order Desk department.
Key Responsibilities:
- . Database Maintenance (10%):
- Oversee new customer setup
- Manage product pricing files
- Maintain Licensee Master setup
- Schedule customer deliveries
- Staff Training and Supervision (20%):
- Train, motivate, monitor, and provide guidance to Customer Service staff
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Administer attendance (vacation, sick leave, absences)
- Adjust CSR duties as required
- Client Relationship Management (55%):
- Ensure integrated systems (X-order, online order) function properly
- Troubleshoot systemic issues affecting deliveries
- Execute Action Form process effectively, including investigating specific issues
- Customer Service Rep Backup (15%):
- Cover absences, vacations, and high-volume period
Position Requirements:
- 1-2 years of leadership experience
- Experience in the beverage alcohol and hospitality sector
- An understanding of the beverage alcohol regulatory environment
- 4-6 years of dynamic customer service/ relations experience
- A post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong leadership and problem solving skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with a Order Management system will be considered an asset.
