About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Recruitment Specialist to support the full recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and leading onboarding and orientation. This role also includes managing our co-op program and helping to build a pipeline of early-career talent. You will play an important role in attracting top candidates and ensuring a smooth, positive experience throughout the hiring process.

The Role:

  • Promote our brand through recruitment marketing and networking.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, job requirements and recruitment strategies
  • Manage the co-op program, including recruitment, onboarding, and student support
  • Create and post job ads on job boards, social media, and internal platforms
  • Actively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, databases, networking, and referrals
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews
  • Coordinate and participate in interviews with hiring teams
  • Represent the company at job fairs, campus events, and other recruitment functions
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in an applicant tracking system
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with preparing employment contracts
  • Lead onboarding and orientation for all new hires and co-op students
  • Track and report on recruitment metrics and suggest process improvements
  • Stay current with industry hiring trends and sourcing best practices

You Will Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of recruitment experience
  • Familiarity with employment laws and HR practices
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, organization, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and deadlines efficiently
