YOUR CHALLENGE
Collaborate closely with sales (outside & inside) to identify gas detection opportunities, and help specify the best solution based on customer requirements. This will require the proponent to be knowledgeable about each manufacturers’ offer.
Aside from ensuring that the customer is proposed the best solution, the expert advisor also will actively promote the long-term rental option.
YOUR RESPONSIBITIES
Meet the needs of our customers by finding the appropriate solution;
Work with gas detection manufacturers to understand the correct application of their solution;
Maintain up-to-date understanding of the regulatory environment for gas detection standards in each province and nationally;
Build relationships with the manufacturers so SPI is their first call when seeking a partner;
Timely opportunity follow-up in Salesforce;
Coordinate internal resources (Specialized Solutions and Services Technicians & the Purchasing team) to better meet customer needs;
Support the long-term rental program
Order creation in CSD and ongoing invoicing
Initial call to customers with failed bump / failed calibration as alerted by Expertise To answer calls for tenders when applicable;
Create development strategies to achieve the determined objectives.
YOUR SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Achieve the sales objectives;
- Achieve the gross margin objectives;
- Customer satisfaction (NPS).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Technical expertise in gas detection, with a strong understanding of applicable regulations and sensor technologies;
- Experience with IT tools, including MS Office, Salesforce, and gas detection software;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Bilingual (French and English).
