Our company is a food service distributor and the only produce food service distributor with stalls at the Ontario Food Terminal in Ontario. We also boast of being the only member of Proact in Ontario.
Job Brief
Our company is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Associate. This role is crucial to ensuring the accuracy and organization of our inventory, helping maintain smooth daily operations, and supporting overall inventory control processes.
Responsibilities
- Implement and improve process and system to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital.
- Responsible for inventory reports and balance.
- Manage the inventory stock system.
- Provide support in maintaining current, accurate records of the Distribution Center inventory and organize product for productive utilization of space.
- Perform cycle counts and reserve checks to ensure an accurate inventory.
- Complete all assignments in a timely manner including cycle counts, audits and/or researching discrepancies.
- Prepare paperwork and reports to provide a complete, accurate record of production activities.
- Provide backup support to other Distribution Center personnel as needed.
- Other duties assigned.
Job Terms
- Job Type: Permanent Full-time
- Probationary Period: 3 months or 480 hours, whichever longer
- Work Location: 165 The Queensway, Etobicoke ON
- Shift Requirement: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm Mondays to Fridays and 6:00 am to 12:00 pm on Sundays
- Compensation: $25.5 per hour
- Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years in inventory management as an asset
- Strong computer & software skills
- Experience in distribution, 3PL, manufacturing environment an asset
