About the role
Westcon Equipment has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant to join its team in Saskatoon. The successful candidate will provide office and administrative support with a focus on superior customer service.
Job Duties
- Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.
- Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.
- Prepare forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
- Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.
- Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.
- Prepare End-of-Day deposits and administer Petty Cash records
- Order office and shop supplies; organize maintenance appointments for facility
- Rental Counter duties: Open and close contracts, organize freight for rentals
- Assist in other departments when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Office Assistant Certificate would be an asset.
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Basic typing skills at 45 words per minute.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software platforms, including Excel and Word
- Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
- Meticulous records maintenance skills.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
A Criminal Record check is required.
