Role Summary:
As a Shuttle Driver at DoubleTree by Hilton, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for guests while delivering exceptional customer service. During slower periods of your shift, you will also take on the role of Houseperson, assisting our Housekeeping department with keeping our public areas spotless for our guests.
Shifts:
- Must have flexible availability for weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- This position will start with the requirement for availability Monday to Friday (5am to 2pm), however, there is no confirmed set schedule provided.
Shuttle Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely transport guests to and from designated locations while following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service, assisting guests with boarding, luggage, and general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and well-presented shuttle vehicle, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Assist with guest services, including providing directions, answering questions, and offering recommendations about the local area.
- Communicate effectively with front desk and other departments to coordinate guest transportation needs.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues as necessary to ensure a positive experience.
Houseperson Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but not limited to;
- Cleaning public & staff washrooms.
- Light and deep cleaning of furniture, floors, surfaces and equipment.
- Assisting with basic laundry tasks, as needed.
- Delivering requested supplies to guest rooms.
- Follow all health & safety policies and procedures.
Role Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license Class 4 is required.
- 5 years clean driver's abstract (includes 5 years of driving in Canada)
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift or push up to 50lbs comfortably.
- Previous experience in hospitality, transportation, and customer service is an asset.
