About the role
We are seeking a skilled and creative Omakase sushi chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine, exceptional knife skills, and the ability to create visually stunning and delicious dishes using the freshest ingredients available. As an Omakase chef, you will be responsible for curating a memorable dining experience for our guests, showcasing your expertise and culinary artistry.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing multi-course Omakase menus
- Selecting and sourcing the highest quality fish and ingredients
- Interacting with guests and providing exceptional customer service
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the sushi bar area
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of dishes
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a sushi chef, with a focus on Omakase dining preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi-making techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Commission, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
