Position Highlights:
We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our Claims Contact Centre as Part-Time Auto Claims Specialist I. In this impactful role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers reporting claims to ICBC. Your empathy and excellent communication skills will be key in supporting customers as they navigate the claims process. You’ll handle tasks such as initiating claim files, gathering first notice of loss information, and resolving straightforward claims at first contact—or directing them to the appropriate team for further assistance.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven customer service experience in industries such as call centers, insurance, phone/internet providers, financial services, or similar fields
- A genuine passion for helping others and building strong, trusted customer relationships
- Comfort handling emotionally sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers via phone and email
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Confident promoting company products and services with a positive, professional attitude
- Minimum typing speed: 35 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Minimum data entry speed: 5500 keystrokes/hour with 95% accuracy
- Ability to score 75% or higher on a Call Centre Listening Evaluation
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Previous call centre experience is a plus
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record

Shift Availability:
Our contact centre operates 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday. We assign shifts based on business needs, so flexibility with scheduling is important.
A mandatory 10-week, full-time, in-person training program is required at the start of employment. Due to the critical nature of this training, no time off is permitted during this period.
