Scope of the position:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Sales Representative with a strong knowledge of electrical products and systems. This role reports to the local branch manager and involves handling customer inquiries, preparing accurate electrical quotations, and providing expert sales support for a wide range of electrical solutions, including providing a leadership role within the branch environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical wholesale, with a strong knowledge of the diverse products available in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Branch Manager to develop and strengthen current relationships with existing customers and help grow new customer opportunities.
- Provide customers with precise and competitive quotations as required.
- Closing orders successfully by fostering positive outcomes through effective negotiation, understanding customer needs, and delivering customized solutions as required.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by providing ongoing technical support and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date customer data and sales information in the operating system to ensure smooth order processing and follow-through.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical sales, inside sales, or technical sales, with a proven ability to prepare and deliver electrical quotations would be an asset.
- Awareness of electrical codes and standards and their application to commercial, industrial, and residential projects would be an asset.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are an asset to communicate within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple customer inquiries and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive and solutions-driven approach to sales, with a focus on meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations.
- A team player with a collaborative mindset to effectively work with internal teams and external customers while recognizing company’s policies and guidelines.
