MAINTAIR AVIATION SERVICES has a long history of providing safe, customer focused aviation services and as we continue to grow, we are currently seeking candidates for PART-TIME DRIVER overnight weekends and call-in, in Thunder Bay!
JOB SUMMARY: Driver's work under the direction of the Senior Manager Below the Wing Services and/or other Management to ensure all aspects of guest shuttling are completed according to specific company policies & procedures. Safety, attention to detail, following company procedures, and teamwork are key components to be a successful driver. The ideal candidate must possess verbal & written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change. He/She must also be flexible, be available on call, and able to deal with the adapting nature of aviation and delivery driver requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service to our carrier clients and the receiving individual.
- Complete vehicle walkaround and inspection before and after each use.
- Refuel and clean vehicles as needed.
- Liaise with other bag room operators regarding external connections.
- Complete daily inspection of operating equipment including non-owned assets.
- Complete equipment deficiency reports as required.
- Attending all required training sessions and successfully completing training courses.
- Actively participate in company safety programs.
- Work as a team member in a safe, efficient, professional manner.
- Adhere to published uniform standards and requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be over the age of 25 for insurance requirements.
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Ability to speak, write and understand the English language.
- Previous courtesy driver would be an asset.
- Must have excellent team player competencies.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and/or in a team environment working varied and/or split shifts.
