About the role

Who you are

  • We are seeking a talented technical professional with strong project management and technical skills to be our Technical Program Manager (TPM)
  • You want to lead the design, delivery, and operation of innovative sortation software enabling our warehouse associates to efficiently process customer orders
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

What the job involves

  • You will manage complex programs and projects for a team building large-scale distributed systems that power Amazon's fulfillment centers worldwide
  • The successful candidate will manage multiple projects and programs, partnering with software development managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design, build, and operate innovative sortation software
  • With a high degree of ownership, you will coordinate the development of our proprietary solutions end-to-end
  • Manage overall technical program lifecycle and coordinate multiple projects
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical solutions
  • Report on status of program execution, quality, operations, and system performance to management
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to define technical requirements and approach
  • Foster culture of continuous improvement through process optimization and best practices
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects
  • Work with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes
  • Own all operational metrics and support for assigned programs
  • Have the obsession to drive a better customer experience through everything that we do here at Amazon
  • Bring innovative ideas to the table every day, in order to find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives
  • Set clear, measurable quality goals for programs in a data-driven way
