About TC Transcontinental RBW Graphics
This position is based at the TC Transcontinental RBW Graphics plant in Owen Sound, Ontario, which has been in operation for over 171 years. With over 400 employees, it is the largest commercial printing plant of magazines, flyers, catalogues, and directories in Canada. Owen Sound is a smaller city filled with cultural, outdoor, and recreational activities.

We are currently seeking a full-time Finishing Assistant to join our manufacturing team at our Owen Sound facility. In this role, you will be responsible to assist operators and crews in the production of high-quality work through the safe and efficient operation of finishing equipment.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

• Filling loaders and pockets, piling down product, and preparing mail skids while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Assist in operating Finishing equipment and ensure necessary supplies are stocked.
• Support Finishing operators with equipment setups, paperwork, and operations.
• Learn and apply knowledge of safety, quality, and production standards.
• Understand docket specifications and identify quality defects.
• Complete tasks efficiently and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate constructively with co-workers and management to improve operations.

Qualifications

• Basic computer, math, measurement, and communication skills.

• Ability to follow instructions, stay on task, and prioritize safety.

• Flexibility to support multi-shift operations

• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
