Compensation And Benefits
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.10+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary
- An entry level position requiring a positive work ethic.
- Adheres to Culinary Guidelines.
- Has the ability to learn and understand the importance of: personal hygiene, safe food handling practices, and basic culinary skills.
- In charge of setting up food station, working station during café hours and breaking down station in efficient manner.
- Assists in all aspects of operation, including cashiering, dishwashing, food prep and other necessary job functions
- Requires supervision
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepares various foods under supervision for cafe.
- Follows prep sheets accurately and with a sense of urgency.
- Will attend equipment training and practice those techniques.
- Reads, understands, and follows recipes and standards.
- Rotates product and keeps a clean station.
- Demonstrate teamwork and co-operation with other staff
- Completes any reasonable task assigned by supervisor.
- Assists all aspects of operation through dishwashing, cleaning, re-stocking and any other essential duties
- Works a food station during service, cooking for, conversing with and assisting guests
- Assists with overall restroom cleanliness and duties when needed
Guest Service Duties
- Converses with guests and answers any questions they may have about available food products
- Offers suggestions and assists operation through upselling

- Must own non-slip shoes
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Experience And Special Skills
- Basic previous culinary experience is necessary.
- Ability to develop basic culinary skills. Ex: competent knife skills and basic cooking technique.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Prior cash handling experience a plus

Copper Mountain Resort is The Athlete's Mountain. Located in Summit County, Colorado, about 75 miles (121 km) west of Denver on Interstate 70, the resort opened in late 1971. Iit was owned and operated by Intrawest until Dec. 2009, when operations were transferred to Powdr Adventure Lifestyle Co.
The ski area features beginner slopes on the western side of the mountain, intermediate slopes in the center, and expert terrain on the eastern side. Advanced "double black diamond" slopes are located on the two peaks above 12,000 feet (Copper and Union Peaks), including four expert-only bowls: Copper Bowl, Union Bowl, Spaulding Bowl, and Resolution Bowl.
