Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Cleaning Associate for our 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, Ontario! Giant Tiger can offer paid training and mentorship, full medical and dental benefits, a store discount, and 24/7 onsite gym access.
We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable individual who has a positive attitude and adapts well to change. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, seeing a job through from beginning to end, and take direction well you can look forward to a career with milestone rate increases, job growth, and profit sharing.
Giant Tiger Wholesale - We can offer:
- Starting wage of $19.43/hour!
- Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am;
- Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours and annually after that;
- Giant Tiger Store Discount - 20% on clothing, 10% on grocery!
- Full medical and dental benefits available;
- 24/7 access to onsite gym; games room and full Micromarket in lunch room with subsidized snacks and meals;
- Weekly summer barbeques and staff events all year;

Cleaning Associate Highlights:
- Clean with hand brooms, mops, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards.
- Remove all refuse from garbage bins, recycle bins and building daily, ensuring that trash cans is empty and clean.
- Clean work areas within warehouse floor.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed effectively and safely.
- Ensure that the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping is maintained.
- Prepare complete and accurate records and reports as required.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Ensures an efficient, clean, and safe area of all material handling equipment areas
- Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety in accordance with OSHA, applicable legislation, and company policies & procedures
- Any additional asks/duties, responsibilities outlined by your supervisor
Cleaning Associate Job Requirements:
- Completion of High School or equivalent;
- Experience working in a warehouse environment, maintenance experience an asset;
- Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of the organization;
- Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision and standing/walking/lifting for extended periods.
- Experience operating power scrubbers and sweepers, power pallet truck, compactor or bailers an asset.
- Successful candidates must be in good standing for both performance and health & safety.

Sunday-Thursday, 11:00p-7:00a
