About the role
Description: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist I is responsible for performing all routine Magnetic Resonance procedures on a daily basis as well as attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging program or recognized equivalent required. Registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must possess high degree of confidentiality. Standards of Practice as defined by the regulatory college (ACMDTT). Must be capable of performing all routine imaging procedures and able to adapt to new techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years post graduate experience preferred. Self-motivated with strong organization skills. Able to work under pressure in emergency situations. Able to assess patient capabilities and limitations and make adjustments in procedures when necessary. Required to assist Radiologists and Senior Technologists in complicated and lengthy procedures.
