The Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for developing, modifying and enhancing front-end web interfaces using HTML, CSS, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery, and other similar applications working with the SharePoint web content management system. The candidate will also enhance and debug existing sections of the interface.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Work closely with the Senior Programmer Analyst, graphic designers and illustrators, and other members of the AboutKidsHealth team to implement specific features and develop the user interface
  • Work on development of platform-specific and platform-agnostic (browser-based) mobile interfaces for accessing sections of the website will form part of this role going forward

Here's What You'll Need

  • Bachelors degree or College Diploma in web development or web design or equivalent experience, along with a minimum 2 years of experience in web development
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Designer and SharePoint as a web content management system, and ability to customize masterpages and page layouts
  • In depth understanding of cross browser issues, CSS, W3C standards
  • High attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good problem solving skills, resilience and creativity
  • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple competing tasks, manage and execute routine operational activities, translate computer terms in to lay terms and vice versa, coordinate between multiple groups and work in a team environment when the need arises
  • Experience with usability, site design, and basic Flash development is a strong asset
