Primary Responsibilities

The Driver Trainer is responsible for training/teaching employees how to drive all Company owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment.

This position includes the following duties:

• Completion of Driver’s Assessments
• Instruction of Voyago Division Training as required
• License Upgrading (B Class)
• Outside instructional training programs
• All other duties as outlined by Transit Supervisor

Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• B/ F License held for a minimum of 3 years
• Posses clean driving record and Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Excellent proven customer service expereince
• In-depth knowledge of Durham and surrounding areas
• Good organization and communication skills
• Availability to work flexible hours
• An understanding of vehicle for hire industry
• Knowledge of wheelchair tie downs and q-straints
• Possess a clean driver abstract
• Preferred previous instructional / teaching experience
• Preferred previous Driver’s Assessment expereince
• Preferred instructional expereince in B, D, E, F license
• Instructional of Voyago divisional training as required
• License upgrade training (B, E, and F)
