What are we looking for?
The Quality Packaging Co-op will be an integral part of our Quality team, working closely to support our production, procurement, and logistics teams. This role provides hands-on experience in ensuring packaging quality and contributing to operational excellence.
Co-op Term: September – December 2025
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing packaging solutions that meet INNIO Waukesha's standards, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and assess Supplier Packaging Data Sheets for compliance with our packaging policy and communicate any packaging discrepancies.
- Actively participate in non-conformance packaging investigations, develop action plans, and track resolutions within our Quality Management System.
- Conduct audits on packaging materials and processes to ensure quality and efficiency, in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice packaging strategy, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Develop action plans to optimize packaging processes and improve efficiency, utilizing lean six sigma methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Global Commodity Leaders, Supplier Quality Engineers, Material Planners, Buyers, Warehouse teams, and Quality Associates.
- Gain knowledge in our ERP system to support reporting and analysis related to packaging efficiency, material usage, and inventory. This includes maintaining packaging quality documentation within the Quality Management System.
Your Profile
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program related to Quality Management, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Programs, such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge in Oracle, SAP or other ERP systems. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and lean six sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver key objectives within established timelines.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
