Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Manager - Software Testing, the Software Developer in Test is responsible for Verification and Validation, including 3rd party implementations of software applications used within the company by Research & Development, Production and Systems Engineering.
- Responsible for design and implementation of test cases
- Writing code to improve the overall testability of software and Android Operating System
- Writing integration tests, ensures build are done correctly, works to produce repeatable automated and manual functional tests for user stories.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, with minimum supervision, medium scaled projects and assignments
- Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting on Android OS, Wifi protocols, locales, etc.
- Establish and configure hardware and software testing labs
- Create/maintain various Virtual Machines under Azure (cloud) and Virtual Box.
- Troubleshoot network issue for Data Management application.
- Analyze requirements to define testcases
- Perform requirements verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete and conforming to standards
- Participate in the evolution/implementation of product development processes and tools
- Execute test plans and creates reports using a Test Management system
- Develop test libraries and test strategies for the system and conduct system testing
- Identify opportunities for and prepare automated tests
- Analyze customer feedback
- Prepare test reports and log defects
- Work in an Agile Scrum environment
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Software related Engineering or related discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience 3-5 years related industry experience
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Knowledge of Operating Systems, computer peripherals, including excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Azure VM and/or Virtual Box VM.
- Experience setup of labs/equipment for testing of Android devices on various network setups
- Strong knowledge of servers, security and communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), routers
- Good understanding of embedded and multi-platform application environments (Pocket PC, Android, potentially others)
- Detailed knowledge/experience with testing approaches and methodologies
- Good written communication skills
- Innate attention to detail
- Self-directed time and task management
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Awareness of highly regulated operating environment (FDA/QMS/ISO)
- Experience in network administration
- Database Applications testing experience
- Working knowledge of Test Management software

The annual base pay for this position is:
Min $64,700 - Max 114,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
