About the role
Bailey Electronics Quality Manager - Are you an experienced Quality Manager looking to lead and elevate quality standards across an organization? We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control. In this key leadership role, you will manage our Quality Management System (QMS), ensure compliance with industry standards and audits, and drive continuous improvement in product, process, supplier, and customer quality.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and serving as a vital member of the leadership team, the Quality Manager works cross-functionally with production, engineering, sales, and executive teams to enhance internal systems, uphold quality standards, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will lead root cause investigations, Address and resolve customer concerns with a focus on satisfaction and continuous improvement. and maintain open and effective communication with clients regarding quality issues.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader committed to cultivating a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence across the organization.
Position Responsibilities
- The Quality Manager would be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Provides company-wide leadership for Quality Assurance and Quality Control, participating as a key member of the Operations Leadership team
- Manages and continuously improves the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices
- Works closely with production, engineering, sales, product management, and leadership teams to strengthen interdepartmental processes, foster a quality-focused culture, and support operational excellence
- Ensures organizational compliance with all internal and external audits, as well as applicable regulatory and certification standards (e.g., ISO, customer requirements)
- Oversees quality across the value chain, from supplier performance to internal processes and final product delivery, ensuring consistency, traceability, and conformance
- Drives customer satisfaction by leading complaint investigations and RMAs, maintaining ongoing communication about quality concerns, and monitoring customer quality metrics for continuous improvement
- Enforces adherence to established quality processes and procedures, while actively identifying opportunities to enhance internal systems, documentation standards, and team tools
- Maintains and upgrades quality-related tools and systems, develops standards for quality documentation (e.g., materials, drawings), and fosters accountability within the quality team
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience in a quality management role or related environment
- Proven experience managing or implementing a Quality Management System (QMS)
- Hands-on experience with audits (internal and external), CAPA, RMA processing, and customer complaint handling
- Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies: Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, 8D, FMEA, SPC, etc
- Knowledge of quality standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, APQP, etc)
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively across departments and with customers and suppliers
- Experience with automotive or mobile equipment and the APQP framework is a benefit
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification and an understanding of Lean Methodologies is an asset
