About the role

Description: The Activity Assistant is responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out programs and activities to the residents and patients. The incumbent will maintain effective communications and relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments. The Activity Assistant will attend in-service education in order to keep informed of current trends in the total care of the elderly. Other duties include participating in team meetings to plan programs with residents' interests in mind. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE St. Therese Villa Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Class 4 Driver's License is required. High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Therapeutic Recreation diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

ATRA membership preferred. Class 4 bus license preferred.
