Opportunitie
Veterinary Technician: We are seeking a Veterinary Technician with a passion for shelter medicine to assist in animal care within a busy spay and neuter clinic environment. This position, both challenging and rewarding, is suitable for those who are working toward achieving their RVT accreditation. You will assist the RVT with pre, active and post intake care through low stress and fear free techniques as well as prepare medications, support enrichment and conduct general husbandry duties.
Please note: The Government of Canada funded these jobs through the Canada Summer Jobs program. You must be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.
Status: Full time, Contract length: 8 weeks – 35 hours/week
Start Date: On or before July 7
Rate: $17.80/hour
Location: Pembroke, ON

Certificate or College Diploma in Animal Care or working towards, preferred

Previous clerical training and an asset

Customer service experience an asset

Between 15 and 30 years of age

Legally entitled to work in Canada (which means you must have a valid Social Insurance Number)
