We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafeteria Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent food service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. This position requires a passion for food, customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria area, including dining spaces and food preparation zones.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of food stations during meal service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, restaurant, or hospitality settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with food handling practices is a plus; bartending experience is also beneficial but not required.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying supplies when necessary.
