SUMMARY
To assist the team in collecting and counting currency and tickets from slots machines or other electronic gaming equipment. To operate within and comply with all the rules and regulations put forth by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).
Candidate must possess strong:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Within the realm of the responsibility of the job maintains a clean and safe work environment.
2.Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures which include the use of safety equipment.Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices orconditions and informing the Supervisor of unsafe conditions.
3.To assist in collecting and counting large sums of currency and tickets accurately and promptlyfrom slots machines and other electronic gaming equipment.
4.Incumbents sign or obtain proper authorization signatures for all transactions including enteringor exiting from secure areas as required. Uses only approved forms and in compliance withcompany policy and gaming regulations.
5.Operate and maintains bill and ticket counting equipment as directed. Must inform the Supervisorof any problems with equipment.
6.Receives technical direction, training, and guidance from the Supervisor as directed.
7.Performs all responsibilities in compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).
8.Works as a team member and acts to assist other team members with Count Team duties. Maybe called upon to perform extra duties (i.e. sign-in/out keys, start/stop drop, deliver paperwork toauditing, etc.)
9.Develops and maintains productive working relationships and excellent customer service skillswith all internal and external customers.
10.Must always be alert while performing all responsibilities and have a general awareness of casinooperations. Report all concerns to a Supervisor.
11.Complies established security policies and procedures. Informs Supervisor and Security Officeror Security Manager of any concerns.
12.Attendance - reports to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.
13.All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience in handling and reconciling large volumes of money and TITO tickets preferred but not essential. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure preferred but not essential. Demonstrated experience problem solving, and organizing and prioritizing work preferred but not essential.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Gaming related experience preferred but not essential.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess or be able to acquire a valid and current Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) license successfully. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills using English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties may also require pushing or lifting up to 75lbs in weight.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Essential duties involve working in an inside environment which may become warm as a result of performing the physical demands of the work.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Supply and storage equipment used includes dollies and carts for transporting money, bill and ticket counting machines, keys, computers, scanners, calculators, occasional use of hand tools, safety equipment and office equipment including computers, photocopiers, staplers and tape.
