Employment Opportunity: Accounts Payable Clerk

Are you a detail-oriented, organized professional with a passion for numbers? Kings Energy Group is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team. This position can be based out of our Winnipeg or Lloydminster office, or performed remotely from Edmonton. This is a pivotal role within our organization, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and smooth operations of a fast-growing company.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In addition to these core duties, the role includes assisting with reception tasks as needed to ensure smooth office operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and code vendor invoices received via email
  • Submit invoices for approval and follow up to ensure timely processing
  • Prepare and issue cheque payments
  • Handle daily bank deposits and manage debit/credit transactions
  • Support with data entry related to inventory management
  • Work collaboratively with regional departments to address accounts payable inquiries and issues
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records and documentation
  • Provide reception support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing incoming/outgoing mail, as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned as required

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting (Level 1–2)
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
