Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join their team in Downtown Toronto. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in a critical general ledger project, directly impacting the accuracy and efficiency of their future financial and regulatory reporting.

What you'll do:
- Map and meticulously analyze reporting hierarchies within S/4HANA, benchmarking them against existing structures used for financial and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and present clear, actionable recommendations for general ledger account alignment to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and IT teams, to ensure seamless integration and adoption of new hierarchies.
- Apply your deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards to all aspects of hierarchy analysis and recommendations.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of consolidated financial and/or regulatory reporting experience, ideally gained within large financial institutions.
- A strong background in Accounting, with a focus on the reporting end.
- Confidence and proven experience working with large, intricate reporting hierarchies comprising thousands of GL accounts (large volume processing).
- Solid financial product knowledge, including various types of loans and deposits.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and enhancing reporting hierarchies.
- Familiarity with S/4HANA is a must, with previous hands-on experience being a significant asset.
- You are a self-starter , highly organized , and an excellent cross-collaborator .

The target hiring compensation range for this role is 35/hr-45/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
