Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman / Equipment Operator to lead and coordinate site activities on civil construction projects, while also operating heavy equipment as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, hands-on equipment experience, and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations, including site prep, grading, trenching, and utilities installation
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, and loaders
- Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and grade stakes
- Monitor productivity, enforce safety standards, and ensure high-quality workmanship
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, subcontractors, and crew members
- Maintain job site cleanliness, compliance, and equipment upkeep
- Provide daily reports and progress updates
- Assist in planning material deliveries and site logistics
- Lead and mentor crew members while ensuring work is completed on time and within budget
Qualifications
- 5+ years of civil construction experience, with at least 2 years in a Foreman or leadership role
- Proficient in operating a variety of heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, underground utilities, and grading techniques
- Ability to read construction drawings and perform layout work
- Valid driver's license (Class 3 or higher preferred)
- CSTS, First Aid, and equipment certifications are assets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
