We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Build and maintain an efficient team by providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the safe operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic saws.
- Ensure proper packaging and fabrication of products for shipment.
- Implement and manage a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimize inventory control.
- Optimize warehouse space & shelving for maximum space efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
