We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting into the Head of Finance & Business Planning, the ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support across all areas of financial management.
This position is based in-office, located at 2727 Meadowpine Blvd, Mississauga.

Role Responsibilities:
· Prepare and maintain financial statements, to include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
· Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts and track financial performance against targets.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
· Responsible to own the accounts payable and receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
· Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
· Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and assistance.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes and controls.
What we are looking for:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
· CPA designation completed or in progress.
· Experience in Supply Chain Management or Beverage Alcohol Industries is preferred
· Proficiency with ERP applications (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, or similar).
· Strong understanding and application of accounting principles, and financial reporting procedures.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· High level of integrity and confidentiality.
