Powerhouse Retail Services is looking for a Senior Visual Merchandiser to join our team in the Ottawa & Gatineau area. As a Powerhouse Senior Visual Merchandiser, you will have the opportunity to utilize your merchandising experience to educate others, express your passion for fashion and work flexible hours with top fashion brands including Levi’s®, Outlook Eyewear and many more in various retailers - Mark’s, Walmart, Sport Chek etc.

Hourly Rate:

• $22.00/hour

Assignments include, but not limited to:

• Performing merchandising tasks, which include implementing plan-o-grams both visual and written, shop reflows, POS installs, replenishing stock, mannequin dressing, and moving floor fixtures.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Store Management department personnel.
• Setting up theme shops within the stores, working along with the Vendors, Field Merchandising Contractors, and Clients using various merchandising techniques.
• Executing priorities as directed by Brand Account Managers, Vendors, and Clients.
• Ensuring visual and brand standards are achieved as directed by Brand Account Managers, Vendors, and Clients.
• Complete all scheduled assignments efficiently, accurately and on time.
• Communication on an ongoing basis via phone, text and email with the office and all Brand Account managers and Field Supervisors.
• Completing administrative tasks when required, completing assigned visits, including reporting visits, organizing training, follow up communication with Field Merchandising Contractors, Vendors, and Clients, taking photos and other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• A minimum, of 2 years of Senior Merchandising experience working within fashion appeal industry in a high-volume retail store.
• Strong merchandising abilities and knowledge, implementing plan-o-grams both visual and written, shop reflows, POS installs, replenishing and other merchandising services
• Proven ability to improvise and overcome product/store layout barriers to meet objectives.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail along with time management and project management skills
• Experienced working with minimal supervision while meeting quality standards and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree professionalism
• Fashion Marketing or Merchandising diploma is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in a training or leadership role at a retail level is considered an asset.
• Must have access to a mobile smart device with a reliable data plan.
• Flexible availability from Monday to Friday as well as be comfortable with evenings or weekends in special circumstances.
• Ability to lift and carry 20lbs with continuous lifting, bending, and standing.
• Reliable transportation to travel is required.
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset
• Must possess a “Make It Happen” attitude.
