Pay Range: $74,207 - $93,648

Close Date: July 25, 2025

Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office, on a scheduled rotation once training requirements have been met. Until then, the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site, full-time.

Are you an underwriter looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have exceptionally strong knowledge of underwriting principles and risk assessment tools?

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Underwriter to join our Personal Lines team in Winnipeg.

  • Are highly knowledgeable and experienced in property insurance underwriting.
  • Have excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are skilled in problem solving and solutioning.
  • Want to leverage your leadership skills for good – like actively supporting SGI’s culture, expanding your own learning and supporting your colleagues as they do the same.

Typically, these skills are gained through a two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a relevant field of study such as Business . Candidates should have 5 – 7 years of experience in personal lines underwriting.
