Vestcor has a full-time position available for an Investment Analyst - Private Equity .
Location
Located in Fredericton, Vestcor is the largest investment manager in Atlantic Canada providing global investment management services to 11 different client groups representing approximately $23.1 billion in assets under management. We also provide administration services to 10 pension plans and five employee benefit plans.
Key Responsibilities
The Investment Analyst - Private Equity reports to the Head of Private Equity and works with the Private Equity team, performing foundational research and analysis activities in support of the team’s Portfolio Managers. The responsibilities of the position include assisting the team in the due diligence process, preparing investment reports and presentation materials, building and analyzing financial models, and valuation and performance analysis for funds and co-investments.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in business, finance, or related discipline and 2-5 years of work experience in private markets investing or investment banking. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, or current enrollment in either program is desirable. The candidate must have the ability and willingness to travel as required.
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, have advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, be a strong user of computer applications (with programming language competency as an asset), and possess essential research and data analytical skills. Written and spoken competence in English is required.
