Internal Logistics Coordinator We’re a Naan Traditional Company… Summary: This role is reporting to the Site Leader. They are responsible for coordinating and communicating vital information such as customer orders, service requests, and driver assignments. They facilitate the deployment of appropriate assets, specifically trucks for delivery and pick up of goods.
The hours of work is 11:00pm to 7:00am (night shift). What FGF Offers:

Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate shunting activities as required (shipping raw materials to the manufacturing facilities and finished goods to the central warehouse for finished product or deliveries of materials from local suppliers)
- Track costs associated with Internal Logistics
- Track performance of the contracted carrier performing shunting activities
- Actively participate in managing the FGF yards with the rest of the team
- Coordinate and expedite repairs for any equipment and provide updates as required
- Follow up on driver issues as required
- Manage rental equipment, if necessary
- Reviews and record drivers’ time sheet and ensures all information is accurate. Report any inaccuracies to the Site Leader.
- Coordinate as needed the returnable packaging with the participating FGF locations and business partners; ensure that the total inventory for returnable packaging is kept intact
- As new applications / processes are implemented, take an active role in the implementation process
- Always question the status-quo and continuously look for smarter, faster way to complete tasks
- On-call for any after hour driver issues/emergencies as needed
- Other clerical tasks as assigned on an as needed basis
Required Experience
- A minimum of Ontario Secondary School Diploma is required. Post-secondary degree Logistics would be an asset
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
- Fast learner of new apps; previous exposure to GPS systems, TMS, an asset
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and strong customer service focus
- Must be able to successfully handle and resolve contentious and challenging situations
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and ability to work well under pressure
- Must always have the sense of urgency and act accordingly
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strong organizational and decision-making skills
